Kazan residents will take part in the international ethnographic dictation

<p> Kazan residents will be take part in the annual international educational project “Big Ethnographic Dictation”. The event will be held in online and offline formats from 3 to 8 November.<br> </p> <p> The event will allow everyone interested in Russian history, culture and traditions of the peoples to test knowledge. This knowledge fosters harmony, interethnic peace and national unity of the peoples of the country, as well as raises the rate of ethnographic literacy among citizens. </p> <p> Dictation will be available in Russian, English and Spanish. Participants under the age of 16 will have to answer 20 federal questions, the rest - 30 questions. At the same time, 20 questions will be general, while 10 will be unique for each subject of Russia. The maximum amount of points for competing all tasks is 100. The time for passing the dictation is 45 minutes. The correct answers will be posted on the official website until November 11. </p> <p> For participation, it is necessary to visit the site provided by the region. The dictation will be also available online on the official website. Detailed information can be found on the website and in the official community on the Vkontakte social network. </p> <p> A large ethnographic dictation is organized by the Federal Agency for Nationalities. Every year, the campaign unites millions of residents of Russia and foreign countries, regardless of age, education, religion and citizenship. </p> <p> The event has been held for the first time on October 4, 2016. Ninety thousand Russians joined the action at the time. Last year, the number of participants exceeded 2.5 million people from all regions of Russia and 95 countries. Dictation took place on all continents. The most exotic site was the International Space Station: cosmonaut Sergei Prokopyev tested his knowledge, the organizing committee reports. </p>
