Residents of Kazan are invited to become volunteers of a pilot project to introduce separate garbage collection

<p> (KZN.RU, July 25). Residents of Kazan are invited to become volunteers and participate in a pilot project to introduce separate garbage collection in the Aviastroitelny district. Volunteers will help citizens in the first days of the project to deal with the rules of sorting garbage. </p> <p> </p> <p> A pilot project for the introduction of separate garbage collection will start on August 1 in the Aviastroitelny district of Kazan in multi-apartment buildings managed by the OOO “MC of the Aviastroitelny District”. 428 containers will be installed at 109 container sites for separate garbage collection. Each container will be marked with a special sticker, explaining what kind of garbage can be put into it. Thus, containers with a yellow sticker will be designed for sorted dry clean waste suitable for industrial processing, and ones with a gray sticker – for unsorted wet and other waste. </p> <p> </p> <p> In the first days of the project implementation, volunteers will work on the points near the container sites. They will inform the residents about the start of the project, acquaint them with the rules of garbage sorting and answer questions. Before starting work, all volunteers will be instructed to know everything about the project. </p> <p> </p> <p> The organizers themselves will be among the volunteers. For example, one of the assistants will be Iskander Giniyatullin, the deputy head of the Executive Committee, responsible for Housing and Communal services. It is also planned to involve environmental activists of the city in the explanatory work. </p> <p> </p> <p> All concerned inhabitants wishing to join the project and become a volunteer can apply for details to the Committee of Housing and Communal Services by phone (843) 590-04-26 (ext.2312) or in the MC of the Aviastroitelny District (843) 524-75-33. It is necessary to leave your data: name, contact details and tell how much time you are willing to give the project, for example, an hour a day or two hours a day two times a week. Applications are accepted until Saturday, July 28. </p>
