Sixty chess players will compete for the Kazan Mayor's Cup

Grandmasters, champions of Europe and Russia will participate in the Cup

On August 28 - 30, a traditional chess tournament for the Kazan Mayor's Cup will take place at the IT Park.

60 athletes will participate in the competition, including European champion Vladislav Artemyev, Russian champion Alice Gallyamova, grandmasters Artyom Timofeyev and Juan Borges Matos.

For reference, 42 chess players participated in the tournament in 2022. The prize fund of the competition was 1 million rubles. According to the results of the blitz tournament, Vladislav Artemyev, a chess player from the capital of the republic of Tatarstan, became the best among grandmasters, and Amir Zakirov from Nizhnekamsk was the winner among young athletes.
