<p> (KZN.RU, November 23). More than 20 thousand people voted for Kazan in the competition for the Guangzhou International Award for urban innovation. Online voting continues, everyone can help the capital of Tatarstan to receive the prestigious prize, voting is posted on the contest website. </p> <p> </p> <p> For now, Kazan is in fourth place. The capital of Tatarstan was overtaken by the Chinese cities of Yiwu (46690 votes) and Wuhan (45961 votes), as well as the Turkish city of Mezitli (24207 votes). Sydney is in the fifth place with 19712 votes, El Salvador is in the sixth place with 19601 votes. The seventh place went to the Dutch city of Utrecht with 17727 votes, the eighth place is taken by the city of South Africa Durban and 17680 votes, the ninth place went to the Argentine city of Santa Fe, for which 17524 people voted. New York closes the top ten with 17513 votes. </p> <p> </p> <p> To vote for Kazan, you must sel ect another 2 cities on the site. The winning city of online voting will be honored and awarded on December 7 at the International Conference on Urban Innovation of Guangzhou. The presentation of the finalists will be held from 5 to 9 of December at the International Conference of Urban Innovations of Guangzhou. By the results of the presentation, up to 5 winning cities will be selected fr om 15 cities, which will receive a cash prize, a gift, and a certificate. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Guangzhou Prize has been given since 2012. The 2016 finalists included Boston (USA) and Copenhagen (Denmark). Until 2018, the Russian city reached the final of the award only once (Perm, 2012). </p>
