The fifth part of the norm of snow fell in Kazan for 8 days of January

Since the beginning of the year, 18 thousand tons of snow were removed from the streets.

(KZN.RU, January 9). 18000 tons of snow were removed and 3600 tons of anti-ice materials were used in January 2018. Road services worked around the clock on holidays.

From the beginning of the year, 7 mm of precipitation fell in Kazan, which is 21% of the norm. During the New Year holidays, road services worked around the clock. They performed the removal of snow, cleaning of sidewalks, bus-stops, driveways and settlements’ roads. Each day, 356 units of special equipment were used, and more than 45 units of small-scale machinery and 400 road workers were engaged in cleaning sidewalks and bus-stops.

216 thousand tons of snow were removed from Kazan streets. 26 thousand tons of anti-ice materials (sand-salt mixture and reagent) were used since the beginning of winter, reports the Committee of External Improvement of the Executive Committee.
