45 crimes were registered due to the help of residents of the republic.

(KZN.RU, March 20, Ksenia Shvetsova). In the last 2 months, law enforcement officers blocked 14 supply channels of drug substances In Tatarstan. During this time, more than 1.5 thousand administrative offenses related to drug trade were revealed. The participation of residents of the republic was of great importance in this work. In the framework of the campaign “Tell Where They Sell Death” launched on March 11, more than 110 messages have already been received from Tatarstan residents.

Thanks to the help of residents of the republic, 45 crimes and 215 administrative offenses were registered from the start of the campaign. The participation of the citizens played a significant role in this.

In addition to work on the identification of criminal and administrative crimes in the field of the drug trade, Tatarstan is actively conducting work to prevent them. Since 2012, a regional resource center of the federal project “Common Cause” has been operating on the basis of the Republican Narcological Dispensary. Last year, the project volunteers participated in 225 activities for the prevention of substance abuse among schoolchildren and students.

As part of the screening and diagnostic direction, a preventive examination of students is carried out in Tatarstan since 2006. “In 2006-2017, doctors examined more than a million people and identified 1072 drug users”, said Rezeda Khaeva, the head narcologist of the Ministry of Health of the RT, the deputy head doctor of the Republican Narcological Dispensary of the Ministry of Health of the RT. She spoke of the project “Sobriety Point” for the prevention of social orphanhood, which is aimed at developing persistent remission among parents who abuse alcohol. Thanks to the project, 167 people received treatment in 2015, of which 140 patients successfully completed the rehabilitation program. It allowed 140 children not to receive the status of orphans and stay in families.

“A re-socialization fund has been created in our republic, which allows people who have undergone treatment and rehabilitation to be retrained for further employment in production”, said R. Khaeva.

Citizens can report about the facts of the drug trade or their non-medical consumption even after the end of the campaign “Tell Where They Sell Death”.
