All funds will be send to charity.
(KZN.RU, September 8, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). Today charitable “Good Fairs” are held in Kazan. One of them opened on the pedestrian street of K. Nasyri in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda. Schoolchildren of Vakhitovsky district sell their handicrafts, toys, and household preparations in order to help a sick boy.
Charity fairs are held in all districts of the city. Two were planned in the Vakhitovsky district: in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda and the Gorky Park. However, it was decided to hold one. In total, about 170 schools operate in Kazan, and about 40 in each district participate in the “Good Fair”. About 20-25 nearby schools joined today's fair on K. Nasyri Street, the others hold fairs on their territory.
The fair involves children of all ages: from first-graders to almost graduates. The children brought things of their own making, or by their parents, and favorite toys, books, and puzzles. The most popular goods at the fair are cans with pickled cucumbers and tomatoes, they are on almost every table. Experienced masters of arts and crafts joined the schoolchildren. At the fair there were handmade soap, toys, souvenirs, ornaments. Masters, as well as students, will send part of their proceeds to charity, from 50 to 100%. In addition, a concert is held for the guests of the fair.
“It is a good, useful and important goal to raise funds for a particular child or to help one or another fund. And, an unobvious goal, and, in my opinion, much more important one is the process of raising children. We are trying to instill in children the feeling of the need for good deeds through the project “Good Kazan”. It does not necessarily have to be fundraising. The children from all the city schools took part, everyone brought handicrafts, realizing that they are doing it not to earn money, but to take part in one big common cause”, said Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs.
Revenues from the sale of goods at the fair will be sent to the treatment and rehabilitation of Roman Ageev, a pupil of the school №51 of the Vakhitovsky district. He suffers from glioblastoma of the frontotemporal area. Recently he survived one operation, the second one will be in Moscow.
Another three urban “Good Fairs” are planned today in the parks Uritsky, Kontinent, and the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest. Kazan citizens can help those in need of assistance and purchase handmade products. The money collected in this way will be send to charity.
The Autumn Decade of Good started on August 30 with the Diary of Good Deeds. Within the framework of the project initiated in Kazan, schools conduct Lessons of Good with the participation of athletes, artists, and bloggers, charity fairs in parks and educational institutions, competitions for sick children, a photo exhibition “Gift of Destiny” with pictures of animals taken to a family from shelters, and other campaigns.
