The festival “JAZZ in the Kremlin” will open in Kazan with the performance of the German trumpeter and pianist Sebastian Shtudnitski and LRK trio

<p> (KZN.RU, July 19). Today, the XII International Festival “JAZZ in the Kremlin” with Olga Skepner will open at the Cannon Court of the Kazan Kremlin. The German trumpeter and pianist Sebastian Shtudnitski and the Moscow musical collective LRK trio will perform this evening. </p> <p> </p> <p> Sebastian Shtudnitski (Germany, Berlin) is known as a soloist, sideman in such projects as Mezzoforte, Nils Landgren's Funk Unit, Jazzanova and the work with Wolfgang Haffner. His is the leader of his own projects: MEMENTO (ECHO jazz award) and KY. He recorded with Nightmares on Wax, Dominic Miller, A-studio, Moritz von Oswald, and many other bands. </p> <p> </p> <p> In 2014, he founded the XJAZZ festival in Berlin that immediately became the largest festival in this city. Shtudnitski is a professor, a teacher in the class of trumpet in the conservatories of Berlin and Dresden. </p> <p> </p> <p> The LRK trio includes pianist Evgeny Lebedev, bassist Anton Revnyuk, and drummer Ignat Kravtsov. The musicians had tours in Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Estonia, Switzerland, the USA, and Japan, and performed at many Russian festivals and concert venues. Last year, the trio released the first international album If You Have a Dream. </p> <p> </p> <p> The festival will last until August 23. Concerts will be held weekly on Thursdays, said the organizers. </p> <p> </p> <p> The “JAZZ in the Kremlin” with Olga Skepner (ex-“JAZZ in the Sandetsky Manor”) is the annual summer music open-air festival. It is held since 2007. Until 2016, it was held in the park of the National Museum of the RT, in 2017, the festival moved to the site of the Kazan Kremlin. </p>
