<p> (KZN.RU, August 10). Kazan is preparing for an active weekend. On August 11, the city will celebrate the Day of the Athlete. At the competitions on power extreme, you will see how representatives of the fair half of mankind twist pans and tow trucks. In addition, you can plan a visit to the charity fair in the Uritsky Park for the weekend. A big holiday with games in “Hopscotch”, “Dodgeball”, “Chinese jump rope”, “Ringolevio” will be held for young residents of the city in the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Day of the Athlete in the Millennium Square </p> <p> August 11, at 10 am </p> <p> </p> <p> Kazan citizens will take part in the chess tournament and the football court game “King of the Square”, watch a string of unusual shows of athletes. In the framework of the All-Russian Day of the Athlete, athletes will take part in competitions in women's power extreme for the first time in Kazan. They will carry huge boulders on their shoulders, tilt tires with a weight of 300 kg, tow a truck, bend the horseshoe in the shape of a heart, clamp nails into the boards and twist the frying pans. The summer reading room with the publishing house “Akcharlak” will open in the container center Cube. At 8.30 pm, the film “Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin” will be shown. A tournament on badminton, the launch of kites and games in “Dodgeball”, “Hot Potato”, and “Sangjo” will be on the “green beach”. On Saturday, qualifying rounds will start, the first one in the RC “Salavat Kupere”. The main stage will be located in the yard of the house №3 in Sazhinov Street, the audience will be jury members.
