Weekend in Kazan: from street musicians at the festival of contemporary art to Tatar jazz

On 4 and 5 of August, guests and residents of the city could attend festivals, dance master classes, fitness in parks, and open-air cinema shows.

(KZN.RU, August 3). The upcoming weekend is busy with bright events. Two festivals are compulsory to visit. We offer you to enjoy the creativity of street musicians and artists at the Open Art Festival. And at the “Hay Market”, everyone will be introduced to the modern Tatar culture: from jazz to culinary master classes. Also, you can participate in dance master classes on the Kremlin embankment, train in parks and watch the film screenings in the open air.

This year the organizers prepared a busy cultural and entertainment program. Young and talented street musicians, creative artists, writers and poets, artists and other interesting personalities will wait for you in the territory of the festival. Training of the project “Green Fitness” in parks

You can choose a direction you like and train under the guidance of professional instructors free of charge. A yoga class will take place at 8.30 am in the Uritsky Park. At 9 am, everyone is invited for a circular training on the embankment of the Kaban Lake. Every Sunday in August, the best cartoons created by the “Tatarfilm Studio” will be shown at the cinema: “Shurale”, “Su Anasy”, “Who is the strongest?”, “Bee and Wasp”, “The Arrow of Legacy”, the animated trilogy “Zilant’s Tales”, “Century of Tatarstan”. The last is included in the Book of Records of Russia as a cartoon film, the creation of which took the greatest number of children. The festival of modern Tatar culture “Pechen Bazary” (Tat. “Hay Market”) offers the children's, science and dance grounds. There will be thematic excursions about the history of the Kazan Khanate, lectures on the life and culture of the Tatar people, as well as culinary master classes, and presentation of national dishes of Finnish, American, Siberian, and Astrakhan Tatars.

In addition, everyone can take part in dance master classes “Biyu for you” and listen to acoustic music and Tatar jazz. Separate zones at the festival will be a design fair with the participation of 100 designers, a reading park with the Tatar literature, and food court.
