One of the brightest and New Year’s magical places of the city, the Kremlin Embankment, will open the longest skating rink in Europe this weekend. The Decade of Disabled People

On December 1 and 2

The Decade of Disabled People will be held from 1 to 10 of December. Sports, cultural, and social events are planned in all districts of Kazan within the framework of the decade. An extensive program has been prepared for the coming weekend.

The opening of the skating rink on the Kremlin Embankment

On December 1 at 12 pm

The longest skating rink in Europe with a length of more than 1 km will open on the Kremlin Embankment. A holiday will be held in honor of the rink opening. The citizens will have a bright program and a solemn turning on of the lights on the skating rink. Stars of the Tatar stage Gulnaz Safarova and Ilsia Badretdinova will turn on the lights. This year, the rink will have a retro atmosphere. This season will be decorated with vivid memories and music from good Soviet films, as well as hits of the 80s.

The master class on making Christmas gifts

On December 1 at 12 pm and 1.30 pm

The Cultural Center “Moskovsky” will hold a master class on making New Year's gifts for children of 5-12 years old. The event was organized jointly with the charity foundation “League of Good People”. There will be two groups: at 12 pm and 1.30 pm.

The festive concert in honor of the 30th anniversary of the association “Podrostok”

This year, the Kazan Association “Podrostok” (Rus. “Teenager”) celebrates its 30th anniversary and holds a number of festive events in the city. On December 1, a concert will be held in the CC “Moskovsky”. The program includes summing up the year, awarding the laureates of the first annual prize “Gifted Teenager-2018”, as well as an exhibition and presentation of innovative activities of the association “Steam-Fest”.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Championship Super Final

On December 2 at 12 pm

The super final of the Tatarstan regional stage of the MGA Uni CUP championship in the game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be held in CC “Moskovsky”. The program includes entertainment zones, cosplay, GEEK-fair, and contests.

Free screening of the cartoon “Savva. Warrior Heart”

On December 2 at 1 pm

From 2 to 4 of December, a series of free film screenings will be held at the CLC Lenin cinema. The screenings will have audio description for the visually impaired and subtitles for the hearing impaired. The project is carried out jointly with the Republican Library of the Blind. On December 2, the guests will watch an animated film by Maksim Fadeev “Savva. Warrior Heart” (2015).

A meeting with Paralympic Sportsman Rustam Nabiev

On December 2 at 5 pm

A meeting with the Paralympic athlete Rustam Nabiev will take place in the residence of creative industries “Shtab”. He is the winner of the Continents Cup-2017, the bronze medalist of the Russian Championship in the sledge hockey team. The young man found the strength to live on, even when he was left without both legs after the collapse of the barracks in the army. Now the athlete is preparing for the Paralympic Games, which will be held in 2022.
