I. Metshin took part in the meeting of the General Council of United Russia onthe improvement of pension legislation.
(KZN.RU, August 20). Today a joint meeting of the General Council of United Russia and the council of leaders of the party factions took place with the participation of representatives of the regions. They discussed the preservation of all existing regional social benefits for people of 55-60 years old, the legislation of the right to additional leave for people of pre-retirement age, the reduction of the length of service for early retirement to 37 years for women and up to 42 for men. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, took part in the meeting that took place in Moscow.
The meeting was devoted to the issue of improving the pension system of the Russian Federation. Andrey Turchak, the secretary of the General Council of the Party, noted that the principled position of “United Russia” is that the state pension provision should be preserved. “The growth of pensions should become one of the main, control tasks of our party”, marked A. Turchak.
During the discussion, it was suggested: to legislate the right to additional paid leave for people of pre-retirement age, to provide them with mandatory annual medical examination, to reduce the length of service that gives the right to early retirement: up to 37 years for women and up to 42 years for men.
By the results of the meeting, a draft resolution was formulated. Olga Batalina, the deputy secretary of the General Council of the Party, announced the main provisions of it. According to it, it was proposed to abolish all preferences for the payment of pensions for members of the Federation Council and deputies of the State Duma. The General Council supported the draft resolution. Amendments to the government legislation on changes in the pension legislation can be made before September 24.
