Volunteers World Cup-2018 study the basics of future work in Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, April 13). The training of volunteers of the 2018 World Cup began in Kazan, on the basis of the Volga Region Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. A team of specially prepared trainers explains the volunteers the basics of working with fans and in the organizing committee of the competition daily within three days, from 12 to 14 of April. </p> <p> </p> <p> Volunteers who have passed the selection in two programs ANO “Organizing Committee “Russia-2018” and “Urban Volunteers” are allowed to study. The first ones are to be participants in all the processes associated with the organization of the championship. The second will meet and help fans in the zone of the last mile around the stadium “Kazan Arena”, in hospitals, transport nodes, information stations and FIFA fans festival. The selection of the volunteers of the ANO of the “Organizational Committee “Russia-2018” has already come to an end. The team included 1342 people. The names of all city volunteers have not yet been named, because the selection will end on May 15. 3000 applications were submitted to this position, but only 1000 could become volunteers. </p> <p> </p> <p> The program of the first educational module included general information on FIFA, World Cups, sports facilities, FIFA client groups, volunteer duties and other aspects of their future work. There are trainings conducted on the formation of skills of intercultural communication, classes on the topic of ensuring security, the specifics of communication with people with disabilities, according to the Department of Media of the ANO “Directorate of Sports and Social Projects”. </p>
