Vladimir Putin has invited the CIS heads of state to the opening of Games of the Future

Russian President Vladimir Putin invited the CIS heads of state to attend the opening of the international multisport tournament “Games of the Future”. The competitions will kick off in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan on February 21 and will run until March 3.

“In February 2024, Kazan will host the innovative Games of the Future. This is a new format of sporting events proposed by Russia, which combines the most dynamic sports disciplines with cybersport. I would like to invite all of you as guests of honour to attend the ceremony for opening the Games of the Future in Kazan on February 21, 2024.”- said Vladimir Putin opening the informal meeting of the CIS heads of state.

According to the Russian President, physical fitness and sport are an integral part of humanitarian cooperation. Vladimir Putin also thanked his colleagues for the successful organization and holding of the second Commonwealth Games in Belarus, RIA Novosti reports.

For reference, Games of the Future will take place in Kazan on February 21 - March 3, 2024. The competitions will combine 21 hybrid disciplines. Each of them combines the concept of phygital - including traditional sports and cyber sports or VR/AR technology.
