Vladimir Putin arrived in Kazan on a working trip

The heads of state will inspect the modernization of the Kazan Aviation Plant.

(KZN.RU, May 13). President Vladimir Putin arrived in Kazan on a working trip. At the airport, he was welcomed by Sergey Shoigu, the minister of Defense of the RF, Denis Manturov, the minister of Industry and Trade of the RF, and Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT.

During the visit, Vladimir Putin will visit the Kazan Aviation Plant named after S. Gorbunov, a branch of the PAO Tupolev. The head of state plans to inspect the course of deep modernization of the enterprise. In particular, the President of the RF will be told about the reconstruction of the airfield base, updating the command and control center, hangars and enclosed parking for aircraft.

In addition, Vladimir Putin will be informed about the technical re-equipment of the production premises: the repair of workshops for the preparation of production, the production of welded components and assemblies, and other facilities. Also, representatives of the plant will present their achievements in the implementation of digital computer-aided design technologies, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

In January last year, the contract was signed for the production of 10 Tu-160 strategic bomber missile carriers in the framework of the visit of President Vladimir Putin to the KAZ.
