Education employees to participate in post-registration researches of the Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights.
At the end of November, post-registration researches of the COVID-19 vaccine “EpiVacCorona” began in Russia. Tatarstan has become one of the pilot regions, 650 volunteers at risk will be vaccinated in the republic. This was announced today at a press conference at the Tatar-inform agency by the press secretary of the Tatarstan Department of Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights (Rospotrebnadzor) Milyausha Zamalieva.
The EpiVacCorona coronavirus vaccine was developed by the Vector research Institute, belonging to the Rospotrebnadzor system.
“The volunteers were selected from people at risk -they are education employees, as well as employees of the Rospotrebnadzor system involved in research of biomaterials and working directly in the infected areas, - M.Zamalieva explained. - I want to note that this is a vaccine research, and not an introduction to the mass market”.
Based on the results of the research, experts will be able to draw conclusions about the vaccine effectiveness.
