V.Zhavoronkov: “Many people are wrong to think that they are protected immediately after vaccination and may not comply with any measures”

During the entire period of the pandemic, 35,266 people got sick, the indicator per 100 thousand population is 905, Lyubov Avdonina, deputy head of the Tatarstan Department of Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Supervision of Consumers Protection) said during press conference at the Tatar-Inform News Agency. Vaccination against coronavirus is underway. As of today, 1,368,547 people have been vaccinated in Tatarstan.

Those who have been vaccinated receive a certificate with a QR code, which is valid for a year. Despite this, re-vaccination is recommended after six months, V.Zhavoronkov reminded. “Do not forget to be re-vaccinated. Immunity is developed only 21 days after the second doze of vaccine. Many people are wrong to think that they are protected immediately after vaccination and may not comply with any measures. This is dangerous, because the possibility that we may get sick is not excluded”.

For information, from November 22, new restrictive measures come into force in Tatarstan – only residents with vaccination QR code will be able to use public transport.
