In Kazan, the work is underway at 27 sites in the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts under the Our Yard program

In 2022, 69 yards with a total area of almost 144,000 sq.m will be landscaped in two districts.

This year, 69 sites with a total area of almost 144,000 square meters will be landscaped in the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan under the Our Yard program. Currently, the work is underway at 27 sites, asphalt has been paved in 19 yards. The improvement of 23 yards is to be completed by the end of August. Members of the Committee of Tatarstan State Council on Housing and Infrastructure Development and the expert council under the Committee got acquainted with the implementation of the republican program in the Privolzhsky district during a visiting meeting.

The participants of the meeting, accompanied by Marat Zakirov, head of the administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of the city, visited several yards on Kul Gali, Safiullina and Richard Sorge streets, where work is currently underway.

Landscaping is carried out by the municipality in cooperation with property management companies and residents. This year, before the start of work in the yards, the district administration held more than 300 meetings, including a meeting of citizens with the program team in the Black Lake Park, noted Marat Zakirov.

The list of sites that will be landscaped this year includes the yard on Dubravnaya Street, 43 and the Rehabilitation Center for the disabled “Voskhozhdenie”. The yard will be fully equipped for people with disabilities. Marat Zakirov said that an area with specialized swings for children, workout equipment for the development of motor skills and adapted small architectural forms will be installed at the yard. The athletes of the basketball team “Kruliya Barsa” living in this house will have the opportunity to train in their yard. In addition, at the request of residents, container sites will be equipped, the press office of the district administration reports.

In a number of yards, landscaping is carried out along with the overhaul of residential buildings. Marat Zakirov informed the participants of the visiting meeting about the comprehensive landscaping of the territories on Mavlyutova Street. Three yards with a total area of 89,000 square meters will be renovated there. A footpath will connect the yard with the square in front of the overhauled library No.13 Sandugach.

Another example of comprehensive landscaping is the renovation of the yard next to Gymnasium No.18, where an extension is being built today. Considering that the yard will be used by schoolchildren and their parents, as well as residents of nearby houses, the architects have developed a project for a socially adapted yard. According to the head of the district administration, a new football and basketball sportsground will be equipped for children, parking spaces at educational institutions will be expanded for parents, new convenient pedestrian sidewalks between houses, social facilities and public transport stops will also be equipped.

In just two years of the implementation of the Our Yard program, 137 yards were landscaped in two districts for residents of 212 apartment buildings.

We must take a comprehensive approach to solving this issue, improving entire residential areas”.

For reference, according to the Our Yard program, 466 houses will be landscaped in Kazan this year. The program is more than half completed in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan. Work has been completed on the yards of 140 apartment buildings.
