Management companies purchased reagent twice as large as last year due to the lack of janitors.

Housing organizations have 152 units of special equipment and small-scale mechanization for cleaning the yards.

(KZN.RU, October 22, Ksenia Shvetsova). Preparations were started in Kazan to maintain yards and houses in winter conditions. Last week the commission, consisting of representatives of the Housing and Communal Services Committee and district administrations, assessed the readiness of special equipment and management companies. On the eve of the most difficult period for the management companies, Kazan purchased more than 130 tons of chemical reagent. The repairing the roofs of houses is being carried out in order to prevent icicles and ice formation. Dmitry Anisimov, the chairman of the Housing and Communal Services Committee, announced it today at the Business Monday.

Housing organizations have procured more than 10 thousand tons of sand-salt mixture and more than 130 tons of chemical reagent for the proper maintenance of the local area. These reserves should be enough until February 2019. The winter standard maintenance of yard territories will be provided by almost 3 thousand janitors. At the same time, as D. Anisimov noted, the problem of the janitors' deficit is still relevant in Kazan. Their number decreases with the increase in the volume of work and the deterioration of weather. To date, the shortage is about 600 people. According to the speaker, this situation is offset by mechanized cleaning. Thus, there are 152 units of special equipment and small-scale mechanization for cleaning yards in housing organizations. “Housing organizations have the necessary amount of various equipment for the work. The cleaned snow will be stored in green areas in compliance with the town improvement rules”, reported the chairman of the Housing and Communal Services Committee. He added that traditionally special attention will be paid to cleaning roofs from snow growths and frost. First of all, this applies to houses with pitched roofs; there are more than 2700 ones in Kazan.

However, all methods of fighting with icicles are, in fact, the fighting with the consequence, and not the cause of their formation, marked D. Anisimov. He noted that one of the main reasons for the formation of ice and icicles is a violation of the temperature and humidity regimes of attics. The snow melts in heated attics, and at a negative temperature turns into frost and icicles. To avoid this, a whole range of technical measures is being carried out since 2010. For example, reinforced structures of roofing materials are used. Thus, in the period from 2011 to 2018, 863 roofs were overhauled. D. Anisimov urged citizens to report if the quality of cleaning of local areas and roofs does not comply with current regulations. Residents can contact the management organization or leave a request on the website of the Open Kazan service or by phone: (843) 236-41-23 or 063. In the absence of any measures taken, they should be reported to the district administration, as well as to the authorities that monitor the implementation of the improvement rules of the city.

Evgenia Lodvigova, the first deputy head of the Kazan Municipality, noted that the repair of dangerous pitched roofs in the city will continue. “We should not allow the formation of icicles”, said E. Lodvigova. “As for the cleaning of yards, every year, residents complain about management companies and management companies about residents who park cars so that special equipment cannot pass. We must learn a constructive dialogue between management companies and residents, everyone wants the same thing, cleanliness and order on the roads. Responsibility should be mutual”. She also added that if citizens will know a schedule of cleaning in advance, will be created, they will move their cars in time. She also added that those car owners who ignore all appeals and arguments, considering their interests above public ones, will be subject to administrative measures.
