The “Cross of Nations-2018” races started in the center of Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, September 15). Today Kazan joined the All-Russia day of running. Since the morning, running in the framework of the “Cross of the Nations-2018” started on the main street of the city. The route runs along Kremlevskaya embankment from Dekabristov street to Said-Galeev Street. </p> <p> </p> <p> The “Cross of Nations-2018” is one of the most ambitious All-Russian sports events. Every year it unites thousands of people who are involved in sports, regardless of their age and level of physical fitness. This year, races should be held in all regions of the country. </p> <p> </p> <p> The biggest race is traditionally 1 km long with the participation of schoolchildren, employees of state and public organizations, students of children's and youth sports schools, students, veterans of sports, and others. Professional athletes overcome 2, 4 or 6 km. The program “Cross of Nations-2018” also includes a special race within the framework of the GTO project for a distance of 2 km. </p> <p> Due to the conduct races, the traffic is restricted from 9 am to 2 pm along Kremlevskaya embankment (from Dekabristov Street to Said-Galeev Street, from Kremlevskaya embankment to Millennium Square), Said-Galeev Street (at the crossroads from Kremlevskaya embankment towards the Kirovskaya dam), reports the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kazan Executive Committee. </p> <p> </p> <p> Kazan annually joins the All-Russian “Cross of Nations-2018”. Last year more than 20.7 thousand people took part in the race in the capital of the RT. </p>
