A new multi-level underground parking lot for 957 cars opened in the center of Kazan

(KZN.RU, February 2). Today, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, opened a new parking lot for 957 cars in the center of Kazan. The complex is located near the NCC “Kazan”. Alexey Pesoshin, the prime minister of the RT, Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of the State Council of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and Ruslan Shigabutdinov, the deputy CEO of the “TAIF”, attended the opening ceremony. Construction of parking was made by the Group of Companies “TAIF”.

The new facility is designed to ease the load of the nearby streets from parked cars, as well as to make the Kremlin Embankment and the historical center of Kazan more accessible to the public.

“This modern convenient parking lot appeared on one of the busiest areas of Kazan. The object will be in demand since state institutions are located nearby, various companies, in addition, there is an exit to the embankment. The Group of Companies “TAIF” made the first gift as part of the preparation of the republic for the 100th anniversary of the TASSR. For our part, we are grateful to investors and builders of this complex”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.

The President also noted that in the future, it is planned to build a children's amusement park next to the complex.

“This object is the result of well-coordinated professional work of designers, builders, and customers. The capital received a modern complex, which will solve a lot of problems related to the organization of motor vehicles’ parking”, added Ruslan Shigabutdinov, the deputy CEO of the OAO “TAIF”.

After the opening ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the technical equipment of the new parking lot. It consists of 957 car places. Most of the complex is located underground and is hidden by the coastal slope. Four levels of the underground part can take 895 cars. On the surface, there are 62 parking spots for people with disabilities and tourist buses.

During the inspection of the underground part, the President of the RT was presented with charging stations for electric cars and a contactless automatic car wash with individual boxes. An exhibition of rare cars was organized at one of the parking levels. Rustam Minnikhanov also tested the payment terminal, driving up to it in a car, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
