The festive prayer will begin in city mosques with a sermon at 4.30 am. The festive prayer and animal sacrifice starts after that and lasts fr om August 21 to 23 in 18 places, said Ilnur Shakirov, the head of the Language Development and Interaction with Public Organizations of the Kazan Executive Committee.

City services organize work to prevent unauthorized places of sacrificial animals’ trade and their slaughter in unidentified places during the Eid al-Adha, noted Ilnur Shakirov.
The route passing through the mosque will start working at 3.30 am. In addition, law enforcement agencies will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure public order and the safety of believers in the places wh ere the Eid al-Adha holiday is held.
“I ask everyone to be responsible about those issues that require the attention of the executive committee structures”, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, instructed and congratulated all those present on the upcoming holiday.
