Russian population census will be held in Tatarstan in October 2020

According to the results of the previous census, 1 million 143 thousand 535 people lived in Kazan in 2010.

Russian population census will be held in Tatarstan in October 2020. A special Republican Commission, chaired by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, will be responsible for the preparation of the census. The relevant document of Tatarstan Government is published on the official website of Tatarstan.

The previous Russian census was held on October 14, 2010. According to its results, in Kazan lived 1 million 143 thousand 535 people, among them 635 thousand 152 women and 508 383 thousand men.

In the Republic, according to the census- 3 million 786 thousand 488 residents, among them 2 million 38 thousand 45 women, men – 1 million 748 thousand 443.
