Almost 18 thousand coronavirus tests have been run in Tatarstan

<p> Almost 18 thousand COVID-19 tests have been run in Tatarstan. Laboratories of the republic are provided with the necessary number of tests for conducting examinations. As reported by the Federal operational headquarters, no new cases of coronavirus were registered in Tatarstan during the day – 41 cases are registered in the republic. </p> <p> According to the Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights, yesterday 902 coronavirus tests were done, in total – 17970, 55% of them conducted by the laboratory of the Tatarstan Center of hygiene and epidemiology. </p> <p> Besides, since March 23, eight laboratories of the state medical facilities run tests in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk. Routing of delivery of samples for tests from other municipalities to assigned laboratories has been worked out. The expansion of the network of laboratories allows to increase the daily number of tests. </p> <p> Medical facilities of Federal Correctional Services will be involved in this work, as well as two private laboratories that will run tests at the spontaneous request of citizens on a commercial basis. </p> <p> For information, testing for coronavirus is available for persons, who arrived in Russia showing signs of respiratory disease; persons contacted with infected people; persons with community-acquired pneumonia; persons over 65 years, having signs of respiratory disease; healthcare workers at risk groups and medical staff of hospitals, having signs of respiratory disease. </p> <p> 1175 cases of COVID-19 were revealed yesterday in Russia. Presently, there are 8672 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country. </p>
