The museum of the recreation history of the Cathedral of the Our Lady of Kazan will appear in the capital of Tatarstan

Visitors will see archaeological finds from the territory of the monastery.

(KZN.RU, July 3). The museum of the recreation history of the Cathedral of the Our Lady of Kazan will appear in the capital of Tatarstan. The opening of the museum in the Kazan-Bogoroditsky Monastery is planned for October of this year.

The exhibition will feature six thematic sections: “The History of the Finding of the Our Lady of Kazan”, “The Emergence and History of the Our Lady of Kazan Convent of the XVI-XX Centuries”, “The Our Lady of Kazan”, “The Historical Topography of the Monastery”, “The Recreation of the Cathedral in the XXI Century”, “Interactive support of the exhibition”.

Visitors will see authentic artifacts from the collections of the National Museum of the RT, the Museum of the Institute of Archeology of the RT, the repositories of the Kazan Diocese and the Mother of God Monastery, as well as copies, models of historical relics. A significant part of the exhibition fund will be archaeological finds discovered on the territory of the Kazan Mother of God Monastery in 2016-2019.

Information blocks telling about the objects of the monastery and the cathedral square will also be presented there, reports the press service of the Kazan Diocese.
