A ‘60s- style: the improvement of the yard on Chuikova and Musina streets will be completed in August in Kazan

The Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of the repair works.

In August, the improvement of the yard of residential buildings No.25 and 25a on Chuikova Street and No.68 and 68a on Musina Street, which is being carried out under the republican program, will be completed in Kazan. The progress of the repair works was inspected by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.

“The Our Yard program significantly changes the appearance of the city. This is not only asphalt pavement and improvement issues – this is a new standard of living. We renovate both the downtown and remote areas – they are reaching a decent level of landscaping and comfort”, - the head of the city noted.

Until the 60s, there was village of Savinovo on the territory where the apartment houses are now located, so the main theme of this yard is environmental. “For example, the pergolas that will be installed at the yard, will have the shapes the previous houses. People who have lived here for a long time remember what they looked like. And in the signage of entrances, a plant ornament will be used”, - Igor Kulyazhev, deputy head of the Executive Committee, told the Mayor.

Graffiti will be applied to the fronts of houses. One of the buildings will be decorated with a drawing of the windows of old houses.

Ilsur Metshin inspected the yard and also talked with local residents.

“The appearance of yards affects the mood of people – this is what they see in the morning when they go to work and study, and in the evening when they come back home – the Mayor said. – The yards are being improved, as well the whole city. The work is well underway. We have already improved more than half of the planned sites this year. There is still time, so we will definitely complete all the work on time”.

Work on the improvement of the yard launched at the end of June, the asphalt pavement is being changed here, outdoor lighting is installed, benches and bins, container sites, a playground will be installed. In addition, at the expense of city programs and investments of the Yutnyi Dom property management company, a football pitch will be equipped in the yard, as well as driveways to the kindergarten will be laid.

In addition to the completion of road works in the yard, landscaping and installation of outdoor furniture will be made.
