Kazan citizens will see the parade of samovars and learn about the art of the tea ceremony in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda

Master classes and lectures on the history of tea will be held at the historical center of the city on July 13.

(KZN.RU, July 9). On July 13, a tea festival with various thematic areas dedicated to the tea theme will take place in the historical center of Kazan on the pedestrian street of Kayum Nasyri in the territory of the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda.

On this day, Tatar pop stars and bands will perform for the guests. Kazan citizens will see a colorful parade of samovars at the carnival of tea and could taste sweets and national pastries at the fair. There will be the book market with the thematic title “It's all about tea”. In addition, the guests of the festive event could attend practical seminars about the art of the tea table and the Tatar tea ceremony, a lecture on the history of tea and national traditions of tea drinking from different countries and peoples, as well as contests and quizzes. A special entertainment program with various interactive games and master classes will be organized for young guests.

The tea party will be held from 2 pm to 7 pm on the pedestrian street of Kayum Nasyri in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda. The entrance to the festival is free.

The event will be held with the support of the MBU “Historical Environment” in the prefecture “Stary Gorod”.
