Kindergarten for 140 children opens in the Sovetsky district of Kazan

Ilsur Metshin has visited the new kindergarten together with the parents of the preschoolers.

A new kindergarten No.11 “Leaves” (Yafraklar) has opened in the Sovetsky district of Kazan. The preschool, located at the Green residential complex on Architect Gainutdinov Street, is designed for 140 children. Social infrastructure is actively developing in this new neighborhood – a sports venue is under construction, the embankment of the Noksa River is being landscaped, a land plot for a school has been earmarked. Today, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in the opening ceremony of the kindergarten together with the parents of the pupils.

The preschool is located in a two-storey building with an area of more than 2.4 thousand sq.m. It will comprise 5 regular groups and one speech therapy group.

The Mayor looked around the classrooms, where he talked with teachers, a sports hall and a catering unit. Oksana Dubrovina, director of the kindergarten, noted that today parents together with children get acquainted with the teachers, and tomorrow the children will begin attending preschool. In total, about 100 children will attend the preschool in the near future.

“The kindergarten is equipped with all necessary technical support. This is the standard that is recognized today”, - I.Metshin noted.

The main task in the improvement of the Noksa embankment is a preservation of its natural landscape

The new kindergarten is located at the residential neighborhood, which comprises Green, Leto and Svetlaya Dolina residential complexes. As the Mayor of Kazan noted, an integrated approach is used in the development of the territory providing for construction of social facilities – kindergartens and schools along with apartment buildings. To date, one school and three kindergartens are already opened in the Svetlaya Dolina residential complex. The head of the administration of the Sovetsky district, Roman Fatkhutdinov, said that a land plot for a school for 1.5 thousand students has already been earmarked, and a sports venue is under construction now.

In addition to the construction of social facilities and residential buildings, this year it is planned to improve the embankment of the Noksa River along the Green residential complex, which will introduce a large-scale project and will become a landmark of the new residential area.

The construction of the park embankment with a length of 890 m is planned in two stages. The first section is almost completed by the developer, the remaining elements of landscaping will be completed as warm weather approaches. The second section is planned to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2024.

According to Antonina Yakhina, project manager for the design department of Yit Kazan LLC, the total area of the embankment along the residential complex will be 12,120 sq.m, and the area of the green zone will be more than 8 thousand sq.m.

The park area of the embankment will comprise two terraces – upper and lower. A sports and children's playground will be located in the upper part, and in the near future a festival area will be landscaped for cultural events. As for the lower part, according to the designers, it should remain in its natural form.

There will be a walking area in the park area, as well as a bike path that will be connected to the city bicycle network.

The Mayor noted that the new embankment will be a great place for family recreation for residents of the neighborhood.

The public space along the Green residential complex will become part of the Noksa embankment till the Mamadyshsky Tract and after that it will connect with the park near the Vesna residential complex. As a result, there will be a walking park area with a length of more than 3.5 km, Roman Fatkhutdinov said.
