The largest school in Tatarstan opened in Sovetsky District of Kazan

<p> A new multipurpose school №185 opened its doors today in Vesna residential complex The educational institution, designed for 1501 pupils, became the largest in Tatarstan. Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin congratulated schoolchildren, their parents and teachers on the opening of the school and the beginning of the new academic year. </p> <p> The Mayor reminded that construction of school was carried out within Housing and Urban Environment national project initiative. </p> <p> The Mayor also thanked the President and the Government of Tatarstan for their attention to the issues of education. </p> <p> Prime Minister Alexei Pesoshin noted that today the country pays close attention to the development of the education system. Only this year in Tatarstan 5 new schools are completed, 3 school buildings modified and extended, 36 schools have been fully renovated before the new academic year. In addition, equipment is purchased for classrooms and laboratories. </p> <p> Alexey Pesoshin and Ilsur Metshin gave the first ring, students took their places behind the desks of new classrooms. </p> <p> Alexey Pesoshin and Ilsur Metshin walked down the hallways and checked the classrooms where lessons have already started. They also visited assembly hall for 500 seats in which seats are formed on the principle of an amphitheater, stopped in foreign language classroom where Spanish was taught to children by a native speaker. </p> <p> In total, today in Kazan the Day of Knowledge will be held in 166 schools. In the new academic year 138 thousand children will study in schools, 19 thousand of them are first-graders. </p> <p> Also today, another school for 1224 places opened its doors on R.Gareyev Street in Kazan </p> <p>   </p>
