A new bilingual kindergarten “Elmay” opens in the residential complex “Salavat Kupere”

A new kindergarten No.46 “Elmay” in the residential complex “Salavat Kupere” is designed for 250 students. This is one of eight preschool institutions for 1,700 children that are being built this year in the capital of Tatarstan. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin look around a kindergarten and presented the children with a New Year’s tree.

“Kazan is growing with residential districts, new apartment buildings and young families with children. “Salavat Kupere” is one of the growing residential complexes. We are trying to create all the necessary social infrastructure, parks and squares here. A new kindergarten is opened, it is very beautiful and comfortable”, - Ilsur Metshin said during a visit to the preschool.

The kindergarten is designed for 260 students and is located in a two-story building at 9a A.Avzalova Street. In addition to 12 regular groups, half of which are nursery, there are two special groups - for children with intellectual disabilities and severe speech development delays. In total, there are 14 groups in Elmay, for 20 children each.

“Elmay” is a bilingual kindergarten, where kids learn Russian and Tatar languages said Leyla Kharisova, head of the kindergarten. The attention is paid to the development of social, communicative and speech potential through cognitive activity, as well as artistic and physical development of children.

The Mayor of Kazan visited the nursery group and looked around the senior group, where children together with teachers are preparing for school. According to Leyla Kharisova, the contractor presented them with a unique developing laboratory. Today, preschool children used special sensors to find out the acidity of lemon and orange juices, studied their indicators. “Despite the fact that the topic seems complicated, children are very interested in it. They record everything for teachers, compare the results with each other”, - the head of the kindergarten noted.

The total area of the building is 3,975 sq.m. The preschool has a methodical office, a speech therapist's office, a teacher-psychologist's office, a Tatar language room, a doctors’ office, a food hall, music and sports halls. Children have morning exercise classes in the gym, and in the afternoon, they have sports classes, children's workout equipment is installed here.

At the end of the visit, the Mayor of Kazan looked around the music hall, where the kids are already preparing for New Year's performances. They showed their dances to the visitors. The Mayor, together with the children, decorated the New Year’s tree and took a photo. “This kindergarten is a good gift for the upcoming New Year. We are happy for our kids and for the young families of “Salavat Kupere”, - he concluded.
