From December 31 to January 8, Kazan International airport named after Gabdulla Tuqay served 71 373 passengers. Compared to the same period last year, passenger traffic increased by 7.5%.
On domestic airlines, 51,277 passengers were served. The most popular destinations were Moscow - 33,163 people, St. Petersburg - 7,223 people and Sochi-2,758 people.
International flights also were of high load, as well - 20,096 passengers, which increased by 18.6% compared the same period last year. Among foreign destinations, the most popular flights were to Dubai – 5,190 passengers, Istanbul - 2,998 people, Sanya - 2,022 people, Antalya - 1,556 people and Budapest-952 people, reports the press service of the Kazan airport.
