An International Deaf Day will be celebrated in the park “Kryliya Sovetov”

Today there are more than 2 thousand people with hearing impairment in Kazan.

(KZN.RU, September 28). On September 29, a holiday dedicated to the International Deaf Day will be in the Kazan park “Kryliya Sovetov”. It is celebrated on the last Sunday of September.

Performances of children and veterans with disabilities with hearing impairments, entertaining and teaching master classes, competitions and gifts were prepared for the guests of the holiday. Also, everyone could attend Russian sign language lessons to get closer to people with disabilities.

Today, more than 2 thousand people with hearing impairment live in Kazan, reports the agency Tatmedia. The purpose of the event is to show creatively the potential of these people and help them overcome barriers and stereotypes in communicating with the hearing population.

The organizers of the event are the Tatar Republican Branch of the All-Russian Organization of the Disabled “All-Russian Society of the Deaf” with the support of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the RT.

The beginning of the event is planned at 10 am.
