On the New Year's Eve, the operation mode of buses, trams, and trolley buses has been extended to 2 am, the subway will work until midnight, reported Aidar Abdulhakov, the chairman of the Committee on Transport, at the Business Monday today.
On December 31, city transport will work in full mode until 8 pm, half of the daily stock will be involved until 11 pm, and 69 units of rolling stock will go on the roads from 11 pm to 2 am. In the morning of January 1, buses will go on the road from 7 am with the extension of the route to 11.30 pm. The subway on this day will work from 6 am to midnight.
Traditionally, on the night of Christ's Day, special delivery of 9 buses and one trolley bus will be organized to deliver parishioners to all parts of the city after the end of the festive service at 1.30 am on January 7 at the bus stop “Central Stadium”.
The hotline of the Committee on Transport (843) 275-30-50 will work all New Year holidays around the clock. Due to the New Year celebrations near the Family Center “Kazan”, the movement of vehicles in Sybgat Khakim Street from the Dekabristov Street to the house №7 in Absalyamov Street will be restricted from December 25 to January 9.
On the eve of the New Year, transport companies decorated the rolling stock. “Metro stations are also decorated with New Year’s merchandise”, noted A. Abdulhakov. Together with the Department of Culture, holiday greetings with voices of national artists and children were organized, which are broadcast through auto-informers in public transport.
