On New Year's night, 45 thousand people visited the main festive site at the Kazan Family Center

The festive activities will end on January 13, so residents of the city will mark the old New Year

The most popular New Year's event in the capital of Tatarstan was the festive program organized at the Kazan Family Center. Since January 1, 2024, about 200 thousand people have watched it. On New Year's night, 45 thousand people visited the main festive site. This was announced at a press conference by Azat Abzalov, the head of the Department of Culture of Kazan.

More than 500 events were held in Kazan's municipal cultural institutions during the New Year holidays, 200 of them outdoors.

“Despite the cold weather in the beginning of January, we actively held outdoor events. There were 115 New Year’s festive sites, ski tracks and ice rinks. About 25 thousand young Kazan residents attended New Year's events in the recreational centers, and 5 thousand children from the families of the participants of the special operation visited the Kazan circus,”- Azat Abzalov said.

According to catering companies, about one thousand liters of Tatar tea were drunk at New Year's fairs in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan. Special Dragon van, which ran along the streets of the city, was also popular among Kazan residents. It could be seen in eight locations, the residents took part in games and contests and received gifts.

A series of New Year's celebrations will end on January 13 at 17:00 at the Kazan Family Center, where residents will be able to celebrate the old New Year.
