(KZN.RU, January 9, Alina Berezhnaya). During the New Year holidays, 8 Kazan residents received various injuries when using pyrotechnics. One child was among the victims. Fyargat Mukhametzyanov, the deputy chief of police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the RT, and Sergey Sergeev, the deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the RT, announced such data today at the briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the RT.

Fyargat Mukhametzyanov said that during the New Year holidays, there were places where pyrotechnic products were sold that nave been covered by the scrutiny of law enforcement agencies. In general, the guards made more than 700 raids and seized 280 items in the republic.

Sergey Sergeev reminded that there is a special fire protection regime in Tatarstan from December 20 to January 9. It involves the use of fireworks and firecrackers in specially designated areas. 4 sites were identified for launching pyrotechnics in Kazan.
