Two new kindergartens for 220 children each are being built in the Novo-Savinovsky district of Kazan

The progress of the construction of the preschool was inspected by the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin.

This year, two kindergartens for 220 places each will open on Adoratskogo Street in the Novo-Savinovsky district. One of them is being built under the Demography national project, it will open in September. Children with disabilities will also be able to attend it. Presently, the roof has been laid, utilities have been prepared, the finishing is underway. The progress of the construction was inspected today by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.

“Young families from Kazan continue to delight: the demographic situation in the city differs from both the Volga region and Russia. Residents of other regions are also moving to Kazan. This imposes on us a certain responsibility for the construction of new social facilities,”- the head of the city noted.

New preschools are being built on the territory bounded by Adoratskogo, Chetaeva, Chistopolskaya Streets and Yamasheva Avenue. As the Mayor of Kazan noted, Novo-Savinovsky City district is quite habitable, but there is lack of preschools here. Therefore, it was decided to build two new preschools for 220 children each.

The construction of one of the kindergartens started in March 2022. A project was developed by SUE Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt. Today, the builders have laid the roof of a two-story building and are finishing exterior works. “Preparatory work has been carried out on utility networks – electrical wiring, ventilation, low-current networks. Temporary heat supply of the building has been organized for today. We have to carry out a full range of finishing works and put the building into operation by the new school year,”- said Igor Kushikov, chief engineer of the contracting organization Neostroy LLC.

The kindergarten is being built under the new requirements of Federal Agency on Protection of Consumers Rights, so its area is 21% larger than that of other preschools. 100 of the 220 places are provided for children under the age of 3, the remaining 120 – from 3 to 7 years. The kids will be divided into 12 groups. The kindergarten will be also available for children with disabilities. Convenient entrances, ramps and an elevator will be equipped for them.

On the ground floor of the building there will be a lobby and sex blocks of rooms for kids. Each block will be equipped with a play area, a dressing room and a bedroom, a toilet and a buffet. On the second floor there will be a block for children 3-4 years old, 2 blocks for the middle groups and one block for the senior group. There will also be a gym and music halls.

There will be twelve verandas with shade canopies and play grounds for each group, as well as a sports ground.

Construction of a second kindergarten has begun on a neighboring site.

Together with the Mayor, the construction site was visited by the head of the administration of the Aviastrotelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan Fanis Nurmukhametov and the head of the Education Department of the city Irek Rizvanov.

Today, there are 396 municipal kindergartens for 74,000 children in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan. It is expected that 4 preschool institutions will be renovated this year. In just 10 years, the number of children attending kindergartens in Kazan has increased by 37%. During this time, 91 preschools were built.
