Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the course of repair work of the cultural center.
(KZN.RU, July 16). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, inspected the course of the reconstruction of the National Cultural Center “Kazan”, landscaping near the building and examined the embankment on the left bank of the Kazanka River.
Irada Ayupova, the minister of Culture of the RT, Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Kazan Executive Committee, Natalia Fishman, an assistant to the President of the RT, Igor Kulyazhev, the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, and others also attended the inspection.
The inspection began at the Khrushchev Pier near the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Natalia Fishman, an assistant to the President of the RT, presented the project of landscaping this part of the embankment and the possibility of a pedestrian passage to the upper embankment.
Irada Ayupova, the minister of Culture of the RT, told about the reconstruction of the NCC “Kazan” building and the placement of the National Library of the RT there. According to her, after the renovation of the NCC, a library will be created in it, reading rooms, spaces for communication, and a cafe.
Also, Maria Privalova, the general director of the N. Nekrasov Central Universal Scientific Library in Moscow, expressed her suggestions regarding filling the library with modern books, creating a “point of attraction” because of its current location.
R. Minnikhanov instructed to elaborate on the functions of the new library building in more detail.
After inspecting the building and the territory of the NCC “Kazan”, the President of the RT was presented with a project to organize a youth extreme park near the Millennium Bridge. Among other things, it is planned to create sports grounds for team sports and a youth training center in this area. A new public space will be created under the Millennium Bridge and on empty squares in the area of Podluzhna Street, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
