The Victory banner of the rifle division that took part in the storming of Berlin will be shown at the Tatarstan National Museum

As part of the campaign, the artists of the Kamal theater will read the frontline letters of Fatih Karim

On May 6, the Tatarstan National Museum will host the “Banner – symbol of Victory” event, dedicated to the celebration of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Accompanied by a guard of honor, the banner of the 280th Artillery Regiment of the 146th Rifle Division will be solemnly taken out of the museum's funds. It was formed on the territory of the Tatar ASSR and participated in the storming of Berlin.

In turn, the artists of the Kamal theater will read the letters of the Tatar poet Fatih Karim. He wrote them to his daughters from the front. The poet never returned home, he died in February 1945. But the letters have been preserved in the collections of the museum.

An immersive tour and lecture “The Legend of the Eastern Fort and Major Gavrilov” will be also available.
