The annual political conference of United Russia takes place in Moscow

(KZN.RU, July 5). The annual political conference of the United Russia political party is taking place in Moscow today. Tatarstan is represented by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT (member of the Party’s Supreme Council), Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of the State Council of the RT (member of the Presidium of the General Council of the party, secretary of the regional branch of the party), Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan (member of the General Council of the party, secretary of the Kazan local branch), and others. In total, there are six people; five of them are status delegates.

About 450 people take part in the conference. It takes place in the format of a joint meeting of the Supreme and General Councils of United Russia (Moscow, Kutuzovsky Prospect, the CEC of the party). The event will include two panel discussions, as well as three creative sessions.

The plenary session of the conference is held with the participation of Dmitry Medvedev, the chairman of the Party, the chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.

The participants discuss the proposals developed at the panel discussions and creative sessions, and the final resolution will be adopted at the end.

“United Russia” will create a system for the formation of the personnel reserve of the party. Those entered into the personnel reserve of “United Russia” will be able to claim the nomination for leadership positions in the party in regional, local and primary branches, as well as to participate in elections to government bodies and local governments. Also, a commission will be formed with authority to nominate or propose candidates for a particular position from the personnel reserve of the United Russia party. It will allow observing the objectivity and independence of the nomination procedure. Ilnar Girfanov, the head of the Department of Supporting Institutional Projects of United Russiam made this statement at the annual political conference of United Russia.

As the press service of the President of the RT reports, earlier Dmitry Medvedev, the chairman pf the Party, the Prime Minister of the RF, outlined the most essential topics work ways for the party in his article “United Russia, a course for change” (published in the “Izvestia” on July 1, 2019). These were the priority of national projects, the protection of citizens' rights, the creation of a more uncomplicated and more open dialogue between party structures and people, the introduction of personal responsibility of members of the General Council for the implementation of the most important tasks for the party.

It is necessary to inform citizens about the implementation of national projects more actively and at different levels. Dmitry Medvedev, the chairman of United Russia, Prime Minister of the RF, stated this speaking at the plenary session of the party conference of United Russia. According to him, today, the awareness level of what is happening in the field of national projects is insufficient. He supported the idea of creating a party service “National Projects through the Eyes of People” for feedback from citizens.

“Unfortunately, the awareness level of what is happening is deficient. And here I see our common problem. It is a problem of the executive branch; it is a problem of the deputies, it is to a large extent the problem of the whole Party”, marked Dmitry Medvedev.
