The boiler house on Muzykalnaya Street is equipped with one of the most powerful boilers in the city

The new equipment was inspected by Mayor Ilsur Metshin during a visit

One of the six thermal power plants has been replaced in the boiler house of Kazenergo JSC on Muzykalnaya Street. This new equipment will provide heat for an additional 500 customers. The boiler is a combined one, meaning it can run on both gas and liquid fuel allowing to reduce costs and protect the environment and make operation more convenient. The complete installation is scheduled by November 25. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, was informed about the work and the main features of the equipment.

«Preparation for winter and the heating season is one of the most important areas of urban economy. Kazenergo JSC supplies heat to 25% of our residents. This year, the company has carried out a lot of work in preparation for the heating season. Major repairs were carried out in 22 boiler houses, in five of them the boiler facilities were replaced with modern ones with good efficiency, - said Mayor Ilsur Metshin. – A new boiler made in Pskov was installed in the boiler room on Muzykalnaya Street. To do this, a whole special operation was carried out here – we had to dismantle the wall. By the end of November, a new heat source will be installed, which will provide heating not only to 15,500 residents of the Kirovsky city district, but also a new building site».

Kazenergo JSC carried out the most extensive work in the boiler house, where the meeting took place. This facility provides heat and hot water for almost 15,000 people and 219 different types of buildings (152 residential buildings, nine kindergartens, eight hospitals, four schools, and 46 other consumers) in the Kirovsky city district.

The replacement of equipment was necessary due to the addition of new consumers and the depletion of available power. The new boiler has a service life of 20 years, although it can be extended by another five years if it successfully passes an inspection.

Kazenergo JSC provides heat for 25% of the residents of Kazan, including 200 apartment buildings, 489 social facilities and approximately 1,000 other consumers. For this purpose, 127 boiler houses, 27 central heating points, 620 kilometers of heating networks, and 82 kilometers of hot water supply networks are used.

By the beginning of the heating season in Kazan, more than 40 kilometers of heating and hot water supply networks were replaced and reconstructed. Kazenergo JSC was responsible for 14.72 kilometers of them. In Kazan, almost 2,000 kilometers of main and intra-block pipelines were repaired, 60 departmental boiler houses, 127 boiler houses owned by Kazenergo, three more district boiler houses, and three thermal power plants were prepared. A new block-modular boiler house on Tolstoy Street, which will heat four houses and a kindergarten will be launched soon.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the City, Iskander Giniyatullin, the Head of the Administration of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky City Districts, Vladimir Zhavoronkov, and others.
