The contest program of the Festival of Muslim Film included 65 films

<p> (KZN.RU, July 12). 65 films entered the contest program of the XIV International Festival of Muslim Film, which will be held in Kazan from 4 to 10 of September. The short-list of the festival was supplemented with film works in the nomination “National Competition”, which included 15 tapes instead of the usual 10. </p> <p> </p> <p> The out-of-competition program will include screenings of films about Orthodoxy and other religions, traditions and customs of different peoples (the section “Dialogue of Cultures”), works by young cinematographers (the section “Film Test”), films by directors of the countries of the strategic vision group “Russia is Islamic World” and films for children in the section “Films of Childhood”. Also, parallel programs are announced, which include the days of cinema in Egypt, Japan, Mongolia, and India, the display of retrospectives, the presentation of the TV channel “Khuzur-TV”, and a number of foreign festivals. </p> <p> </p> <p> The main venues of the contest will be Grand Cinema 3D Port Cinema in the entertainment complex “Riviera” and the cinema “Mir”. The opening ceremony of the festival will be held in the complex “Pyramid”, the closing will take place in the concert-hall “Hermitage”. </p> <p> </p> <p> The organizing committee of the festival registered a record number of applications this year: 967 from 56 countries, including 30 game, documentary, and animation films in full and short meters from Tatarstan. </p>
