About 207 gifted children and children in difficult life situations became spectators of the fairy-tale performance.
(KZN.RU, December 26, Alina Berezhnaya). Today, about 207 Kazan children attended the charity New Year's masquerade ball “Over-Sleeping Beauty”, which was held in the Kazan City Hall. The invitation of the Mayor of Kazan received children who showed good results in their studies and work, as well as children in a difficult life situation.
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, opened the fabulous ball. He congratulated the children on the upcoming New Year and wished that all their dreams come true. “On the eve of the New Year, we invited you to a holiday, a New Year's fairy tale. I wish the fairy tale precede all your dreams with the upcoming new 2019 year and welcome to the City Hall to the fairy tale”, said Ilsur Metshin.
The New Year performance for children was presented by artists of the Kazan Chamber Theater “Sdvig”. A fairy tale based on the works of writers Charles Perrot, Alexander Pushkin, Vasily Zhukovsky and the Brothers Grimm “Sleeping Beauty” brought the children to the world of magic. The young spectators watched as the valiant prince rescued Princess Aurora from the curse of the evil fairy.
In the performance, the dance company of the Opera Theater danced to music from the famous ballet of the same name by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The fairytale was full of interactivity, so every guest felt like a fairy-tale character.
The ball found its place in the hearts of the young Kazan citizens, for many children the New Year's performance was a truly fabulous event. Little Diana came to the show with her mother dressed as a princess. The girl said that she had always dreamed of visiting a fairy tale. “It’s so beautiful here, I really liked the show. I saw this story on TV and wanted to meet Aurora in my life. I dressed this way because I wanted to look like a princess”, Diana shared her impressions.
The tradition to hold a New Year's Ball in the Kazan City Hall began in 1856. A good tradition was revived 3 years ago. During this time, more than 8 thousand young viewers watched the New Year event.
