The atmosphere of May 1945 will be recreated in the Pobedy Park in Kazan

Dance melodies of the 30s-40s will sound in the park as part of the art project “RioRita, the joy of victory”.

(KZN.RU, April 30). On May 9, the atmosphere of a victorious May will be recreated in the Pobedy Park in Kazan. Dance melodies of the 30s-40s performed by the military brass band played in the cities in May 1945 will sound in the park.

The art project “RioRita, the joy of victory” is the first in Russia network cultural reconstruction of the urban atmosphere of a victorious May. The project was first implemented in St. Petersburg in 2016. It is intended to unite people of different generations, ages, professions, beliefs and political views with a single emotion: the sincere joy of the citizens of the winning country.

“The end of the war is a true holiday, uniting generations. The project “RioRita, the joy of victory” symbolizes those very happy moments. We still experience the joy that filled the hearts of people at six o'clock in the evening of the last day of the war. The memory of this great victory will forever be handed down from generation to generation”, said Azat Abzalov, the head of the Department of Culture.

The musical program will begin at 6 pm, reports the Department of Culture.
