<p> (KZN.RU, February 14). February 15 marks the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of a limited contingent of Soviet troops from the Republic of Afghanistan. Kazan will hold a number of festive events in honor of this date. </p> <p> On February 15, a meeting will be held in the Pobedy Park, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Russians, who performed their official duties outside the Fatherland. The ceremony of solemn flowers laying to the Eternal Flame will take place. It is expected that the first persons of the city and the republic, public and youth organizations, students and schoolchildren will take part in the event. All those who came to the event will be able to taste the army porridge cooked in the military field kitchen and hot tea. The beginning of the meeting at 10 am in the Pobedy Park at the Eternal Flame. </p> <p> A new monument will be erected in the Pobedy Park in honor of the Afghan soldiers. The decision to transfer the monument to the territory of the park and the expansion of the monument came after the appeal of the Afghan soldiers. </p> <p> On February 16, a concert dedicated to the anniversary of the withdrawal of a limited contingent of Soviet troops from the Republic of Afghanistan will take place in the cultural center “Moskovsky”. The concert will present an exposition of memorabilia from the time of the Afghan conflict. The ceremonial presentation of the city and republican awards for their contribution to the development of the patriotic movement of Kazan to Afghan veterans and youth policy activists will take place. The beginning of the concert is scheduled for 12 pm. </p> <p> The concert on February 19 in the entertainment complex “Pyramid” will complete the memorable events. Veterans of Afghanistan from all over the country will gather at the gala evening in memory of their colleagues. The program of the evening includes a buffet reception and presentation of republican awards. The concert starts at 2 pm. </p>
