Ilsur Metshin took a drive from the Aviastroitelnaya station to the Northern railway station and talked to passengers.
The Kazan subway has received a new comfortable train “Moscow”. It is equipped with electrodynamic braking, air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems, and does not have inter-car walkways, allowing passengers to minimize contact with each other and move freely from car to car. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took a drive in the new train from the Aviastroitelnaya station to Northern railway station and talked to passengers and subway employees.
The absence of inter-car doors will allow keeping a social distance
The new train produced by JSC Metrovagonmash at a cost of 389 million rubles consists of four cars.
Kazan continues the work on the renewal of public transport and improvement the quality of passenger service, the Mayor noted. “The development of the subway is one of the most important directions for us in improving the quality of passenger transport, - said I.Metshin –Thanks to the support of Tatarstan President, we purchased the 15th train-a modern, comfortable, equipped with everything necessary for passengers”.
The Mayor took the drive from the Aviastroitelnaya station to the Nothern railway station. Asfan Galyavov, Director General of the MUE “Metroelektrotrans” told the Mayor that the “Moscow” train has a comfortable salon and cabin. There are no inter-car doors, which allows passengers to move from car to car along the entire train.
“Another important detail is the electrodynamic braking, – said A.Galyavov. – This allows slowing down due to electric motors, without the use of a friction brake, so that the train stops smoothly”.
The train is also equipped with air conditioning, heating and forced ventilation.
Wet cleaning with the use of disinfectants is carried out in the subway four times per shift
The Mayor of Kazan was told about disinfection in the subway. So, four times a shift, wet cleaning of escalators, the passenger area of stations, cars, scanning equipment, elevators for disabled people and terminals on the platform is carried out. The ticket hall of the metro stations is equipped with sanitizers, said Asfan Galyavov.
The Mayor spoke with passengers and noted that all of them comply with sanitary and epidemiological rules and wear masks or respirators. I.Metshin asked whether there are difficulties with violators of the mask regime.
“Most of the passengers wear masks in the subway, – said one of the employees of metro to the Mayor. – Those who do not have a mask, are not allowed, we ask to strictly comply all the rules. Disinfection and cleaning are carried out regularly-we clean all handrails, terminals, and so on. This has already become a regular routine for us”.
