Kazan lyceum №186 hosted the first school picnic of this season

<p> The first school picnic this season was held today in Kazan multidisciplinary lyceum №186 "Perspektiva". Parents got an opportunity to taste school dishes -Tatar traditional meat with prunes, Pozharski chicken cutlets, omelet with salmon and more, to consult with a nutritionist and attend a master class on cooking healthy food. </p> <p> Since this year, all Kazan schools have introduced an updated menu. According to the recommendations the Russian Agency for Health and Consuming rights, it has reduced the range of semi-finished food. In September and October 2019, school picnics will take place in 10 largest schools of the city, so the parents can evaluate the nutrition of children. </p> <p> "This year we renewed the cooking style in the school canteens, - said Alla Agapova - the deputy director of the Department of food and social nutrition. – We want our children to eat like in a restaurant. This involves a wide range of 4-5 hot dishes of fish and meat, 3-4 side dishes. Every year we update the menu considering the tastes and wishes of children. At school picnics parents will find the wide range of dishes offered to the children " </p> <p> Lyceum №186 at R. Gareev str., welcomes the parents for the picnic. The Lyceum is designed for 1300 students, and the school canteen is supplied with the modern cooking equipment. At the school picnic, parents were able to get taste new dishes, and later they were offered to evaluate the tasted meal in the special questionnaires. </p> <p> In the new school year, 38 new school canteens were opened in Kazan. Thus, there are 65 “school cafés” in Kazan, which is about 30% of the total number of schools in the city. </p>
