The festival of national costume will be held in the Kazan Kremlin for the first time

<p> (KZN.RU, August 21). The national costume festival will be held in the reserve-museum Kazan Kremlin for the first time. On August 27, guests will enjoy colorful performances, fashion shows of national clothes, an ethno-market, a master class on creating kalfaks and photo shoot as a Tatar merchant or a city beauty. The event will be held as part of the cultural program of WorldSkills Kazan 2019. </p> <p> On the main stage, the models will present costumes and hats created by seamstresses and masters of various clothing studios. Costumes of the peoples of Tatarstan will be presented in scenic images of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the RT. On the main stage of the festival, they will present a joint program with the National Song and Dance Ensemble “Kantele” from Karelia. The concert program will also include performances by collectives of the House of Friendship of Peoples, Culture Center “Saidash” and the House of Culture “Said-Galiev”. They will present Tatar, Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian dances and dances of the Volga peoples. </p> <p> At the festival ethno-market, you could get acquainted with arts and crafts. Designers, seamstresses, and craftswomen will bring national jewelry, shoes and clothes, embroidered towels, bags made using the leather mosaic technique, embroidered with beads skullcaps, and kalfaks. </p> <p> Guests will try to make a Tatar female headdress kalfak in the zone of master classes and play board games. </p> <p> A photo zone will also work throughout the day, where everyone will have the opportunity to try on national costumes and take photos as a Tatar merchant or a city beauty of the early XX century with the background of the Kul Sharif Mosque. </p> <p> Citizens and tourists are invited to the festival in the Kazan Kremlin on August 27 from 12 am to 6.30 pm. The admission is free, according to the organizers. </p>
