Four cheetahs have been moved to the Kazan zoo

Citizens can help in choosing “home” names for predators.

Four cheetahs have been moved to the Kazan zoo “Africa. The Zambezi River”. They came to the capital of Tatarstan from the zoo in city of Montpellier (France).

The arrival of wild cats was planned for April, but was postponed due to the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the world. Four brothers-Chil, Como, Quatro and Chuka-were born on November 29, 2018 to cheetahs named Twist and Sita.

Citizens are invited to take part in the competition “Home name for cheetahs” on the occasion of their arrival in Kazan.

For information, the Zambezi River zoo is home to more than 40 species of animals – hippos, crocodiles, hamadryads, ostriches, Egyptian herons, leopard turtles, Brazza’s monkeys, meerkats, damans, dik-diks, lions, blue wildebeest, lemurs and others.
