More than 200 books are brought to the Kazan assembly point of mobilized residents of Tatarstan

Fiction and non-fiction literature has been placed on the shelves at the Kazan Expo, the range of books will be updated.

More than 200 books have been brought to the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center, where an assembly point for mobilized residents of Tatarstan has been organized. The range of literature will be updated.

Books for the mobilized were selected from the collections of city libraries. Fiction, historical and non-fiction literature has been placed on two shelves. There are novels, detective stories and poetry collections.

“Today we have brought more than 200 books for mobilized residents. We hope that reading will bring positive emotions to men, boost morale, remind them of home and the exploits that the characters performed, and also help them to bear separation from the loved ones”, - said Olga Pronina, head of the acquisition department of Centralized Library System of Kazan.

The bookshelves will stand in the assembly point during the stay of mobilized at the Kazan Expo. “If the books are popular, we will update the range or even take orders,”- Olga Pronina explained. “Books are the least we can do for the mobilized.”

Earlier, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the assembly point for mobilized at the Kazan Expo. During the inspection of the facilities, he drew attention to the need to organize round-the-clock duty of security points, ambulance crews, a bath and laundry complex. On his instructions, mobile baths are located on the territory of the assembly point, as well as a bank office to be open there. All mobilized will be provided with a first aid kit, sleeping bag and roll mat.
