The winter period of road maintenance ends in Kazan

280 special equipment units are planned to involve in summer.

(KZN.RU, April 1, Ksenia Shvetsova). The preparations for clearing the roads of mud and waste started in Kazan. All street-road network with a total area of more than 21 million square metres are planned to be cleared by early May. Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, reported about it today at the Business Monday.

The main task is clearing roads of winter mud and waste, and washing of cleared roads will be carried out at positive temperatures. According to Igor Kulyazhev, today road workers and the equipment of contractors are maximally involved for these purposes.

Besides there will be still work to do in order to to the removal of holes formed on the roads. Today within the current road maintenance the contractors have already initiated refurbishment works of the roads.

The winter period of road maintenance in Kazan will end on April 15. Today the contractors have already begun to the alteration of equipment for the summer. Totally in Kazan it is planned to involve 280 special equipment units in summer, and 220 machines are used both in winter, and in summertime.
